Manage Bring! shopping lists — view lists, add/remove items, check off purchases. Use this skill whenever the user mentions shopping lists, groceries, Bring, adding items to buy, checking what's on the list, or anything related to grocery/shopping list management. Also trigger when the user wants to mark items as bought, remove things from a list, or add multiple items at once.

Choose how to use this skill

You do not need every option. Choose the path your AI client supports. The stable page stays the same; versioned files are immutable.

1. Native installer

This listing has no registered native installer command. Use the complete package or source fallback below, depending on what your client supports.

Do not guess an installer command or replace an existing version without reviewing the diff.

2. Complete package recommended

Download the ZIP when available. It includes SKILL.md plus the references, security notes and version metadata.

No complete ProSkills package is published for this listing yet.

3. Prompt-only

Copy the prompt above when the agent can read the stable page or when you want to adopt the workflow without installing a skill.

Need only the instruction file?

Download SKILL.md only if your client requires a single file. The complete ZIP is safer for a full installation because it preserves the references and release context.

No path installs or executes anything by itself. Your agent still needs access to the project files. Before updating, compare the installed version and review the diff.

Bring! Shopping List Skill for Claude Code

A Claude Code skill for managing Bring! shopping lists — view lists, add/remove items, and check off purchases, all from your terminal.

Requirements

  • Python 3.11+
  • A Bring! account

Setup

  1. Clone this repo (or add it as a skill directory):

    git clone https://github.com/YOUR_USERNAME/bring-shopping-skill.git

  2. Create a virtual environment and install dependencies:

    cd bring-shopping-skill
    python3 -m venv .venv
    .venv/bin/pip install -r requirements.txt

  3. Configure your Bring! credentials:

    cp .env.example .env
    # Edit .env with your Bring! account email and password

  4. Install as a Claude Code skill:

    # Project-level (current project only)
    mkdir -p .claude/skills
    ln -s "$(pwd)" .claude/skills/bring

    # OR user-level (all projects)
    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills
    ln -s "$(pwd)" ~/.claude/skills/bring

Usage

Once installed, Claude will automatically use this skill when you mention shopping lists, groceries, or Bring. You can also invoke it explicitly with /bring.

Examples:

  • "What's on my shopping list?"
  • "Add milk, eggs, and bread to my Groceries list"
  • "Remove the bananas"
  • "I bought the milk and eggs"
  • "Add 2L of oat milk and organic butter to my list"

CLI Reference

The underlying CLI can also be used directly:

.venv/bin/python scripts/bring_cli.py lists # List all shopping lists
.venv/bin/python scripts/bring_cli.py items "Groceries" # Show items on a list
.venv/bin/python scripts/bring_cli.py add "Groceries" "Milk" --spec "2L" # Add an item with details
.venv/bin/python scripts/bring_cli.py add-batch "Groceries" Milk Eggs # Add multiple items
.venv/bin/python scripts/bring_cli.py remove "Groceries" "Milk" # Remove an item
.venv/bin/python scripts/bring_cli.py complete "Groceries" "Milk" # Mark as bought

List names are resolved flexibly — case-insensitive, partial matching supported.
